Adventure-Based Learning Specialist

Krystil joined the Take a Hike team in February 2008. She has spent over a decade working in the outdoor education field.

In 2005 she choose to dedicate her life to working with youth and completed her Education degree at UBC.

In addition to having outdoor first-aid certification, she is an experienced moving water canoe instructor, sea kayak instructor, top rope climbing instructor, and has Avalanche Operations training.

Krystil is an active participant in the outdoor community and regularly participates on wilderness adventures. Her favorite recent expedition was a bike tour across Mongolia during the summer of 2009.

Krystil knows the power of adventure based learning and a positive learning environment.

She is motivated by the confidence youth can gain from outdoor experiences, and the learned leadership skills that they will take with them throughout their lives.
