Thank you for helping us reach our goal! Your fundraising support means a lot to us.
Now that you have your GivingPage set up, here's what you can do:
[If you don't have a GivingPage, contact Michelle]
- Set a fundraising goal - how much do you want to raise and how much are you capable of raising?
- Personalize your page. Write about why you have chosen to support Take a Hike and how they can help
-
If you want to do it the old fashioned way, here's a hard copy donation collection form:

Ready for some ideas & suggestions?!
- The number one reason people give is because they are asked. The number one reason people
give is because they are not asked!
Ask family members; friends; co-workers; neighbours; your boss for a company contribution; local
merchant or local business you frequent. You'd be surprised who gives!
- Send them a personal email with a link to your GivingPage Create
- Face-to-face and/or personal asks are very effective. Target a few individuals and make a phone call or take them for coffee
- Write a letter ( sample fundraising letter)
- Set up a page/link on social networking sites, such as Facebook or LinkedIn
- Follow up with a second email a couple weeks after the first. Many people will put it off and a reminder will yield an excellent response
