Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Take a Hike Youth at Risk Foundation. There are several opportunities for you to explore.

Program Volunteers

Interested in being our outdoor leader or in-class mentor for at-risk youth? Volunteer hours would be from Mon-Fri between 9am-3pm. The students take part in two weekly outdoor trips and several multi-day trips from September to June.

Take a Hike Snowhoe Adventure Event

Committee Chair and committee members wanted! Take a Hike is gearing up to organize its third annual snowshoe event in March 2009. First committee meeting will take place in early October 2009. Please contact Michelle for information.


Education Specialist for Program Growth and Replication

We are always looking for one or two individual to help the Growth Committe expand the Take a Hike program to other communities in BC. These two volunteers will focus on creating a resource kit for new programs. A research and education background an asset. Ideal for a graduate student, or retired professional.
