Tenacious and driven, Michelle is passionate about her kids, her pals, and her pups. As the Senior Administrative Specialist, Michelle ensures Take a Hike’s admin and office needs are met with a high level of proficiency and professionalism. Feeling a bit of a chameleon – Michelle blends easily into ever-changing environments. She thinks fast on her feet, keeps her head on a swivel, and is always willing to lend a hand.
Michelle came to Take a Hike after a 10-year career in the financial services industry. Prior to her time at RBC Global Asset Management, Michelle spent the better part of two decades in hospitality. She likes to say grew her professional skills supporting high-level executives and her ability to pivot quickly from years spent anticipating guest's (and her children's!) changing needs. Michelle left the corporate world for a non-profit in late 2022 when she joined Take a Hike.
Outside of work, you can usually find Michelle in a spin class, on a North Shore hike, or cooking up a feast for friends and family. Though happy in her Kitsilano home, Michelle dreams of her “someday” place on a warm sunny beach, idly reading in her hammock, swimming in the warm Caribbean Sea, or puttering about in her small veggie garden.
