Take a Hike is an innovative education program engaging vulnerable youth through a unique combination of academics, land-based learning, clinical counselling, and community involvement. Based at the Individual Learning Centre , Take a Hike Saanich, opened in 2022 and operates in partnership with Saanich School District 63.
The Take a Hike Saanich program serves the needs of up to twenty vulnerable youth in grades 10 to 12.

If you are a youth that would like to apply to the Take a Hike program in Saanich or a parent or counsellor looking for information, please contact the intake personnel below. They will gladly answer your questions and provide you with guidance.
Applicants will be interviewed, and notified of their status. Upon acceptance to the program, youth must sign a medical clearance form before attending classes.
