"A great fit for students like my son"
My son has encountered and overcome significant challenges. I am thrilled the Burnaby school board now offers the Take a Hike program. Knowing my son will be able to finish high-school in an environment that offers self-paced academic learning, outdoor activities, opportunities for community involvement and service work, as well as therapeutic support for students is very, very exciting for me and my family. We are absolutely thrilled to know our son will take part in this program. Students like my son – who have and or continue to battle big challenges – can have a tough time keeping up with the demands and pressures of large high schools, and this program is just such a great fit for students like him.
We can hardly wait to get started and are keenly looking forward to meeting the team and the other students who are fortunate enough to take part in Take a Hike.
