Compassionate, empathetic, and optimistic, Tessa cares about the well-being of the youth that she serves. Tessa provides counselling to youth, supports staff and students on outings, and connects with community members.  She hopes to support youth in creating a greater self-awareness and sense of self.

Previously, she has worked in communities with vulnerable children and youth and has always had a passion for supporting and providing opportunities for young people to feel successful, a sense of purpose, and a place where they feel they can belong. Working for various nonprofits prompted Tessa to complete a degree in counselling leading her to Take a Hike.

Outside of work she spends most of her time raising her family in beautiful Vernon. Outside of that, she enjoys participating in sports such as hockey and skiing. Tessa is grateful to live in Vernon with an endless amount of recreational opportunities.
