Passionate, innovative, and creative, Zoe is passionate about human psychology and exploring the experiences that shape us to be the people we are with the causes we hold nearest to our hearts. Zoe has a passion for bringing people and organizations together to facilitate meaningful change. As the Manager of Philanthropy on Vancouver Island, Zoe ensures local donors feel connected and engaged with Take a Hike's island programs and understand the immense benefit their generosity has in the lives of youth.

Zoe holds a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and digital media. After she pursued her passion for mental health and worked as a Community Mental Health Worker for four years. Combining her skills in storytelling, active listening, relationship building, and community support, she transitioned to fundraising at a local hospice society. With a Certificate in Fundraising Management, Zoe has excelled in the field for almost a decade, leading significant initiatives and connecting generous donors with causes they care about. She is driven by the desire to create transformations in communities through values-aligned philanthropy.

Outside of work, Zoe finds solace in nature, taking long walks in the forest with her son and dogs, while also enjoying activities like playing board games, reading books, and exploring the natural wonders of Vancouver Island. She keeps her writing skills sharp through freelance writing and actively gives back to the community by volunteering at the local Junior Baseball Association, her son's school PAC, and serving as a board member with the Association of Fundraising Professionals Vancouver Island Chapter. Zoe's well-rounded pursuits bring fulfillment to her life, combining her love for nature, and creativity, and making a positive impact in her community.

Zoe's passion for coffee is evident, recognizing it as the fuel that energizes both moms and fundraisers. However, her true passion lies in uniting individuals and organizations to drive profound change. Zoe's unwavering dedication is centered around making the world a better place, believing in the power of one person, one gift, one gesture, and even one hug at a time. Her passion resonates in her commitment to creating a positive impact on both a personal and global level.
